Black Brighton Market has become more than just a market — it’s a movement, a community, and a celebration of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) creativity, culture, and commerce.
We’ve come a long way. From our first events at The Actors pub to citywide pop-ups, the love and support from traders, creatives, and patrons has been overwhelming. We’re busier than ever — and that’s a beautiful thing.
But we’re at a turning point.
Black Brighton Market is entirely run by one person — Jade Hylton. From admin to bookings, graphic design to web development — every poster you’ve seen, every event you’ve attended, every email you’ve received has been powered by passion and purpose. Jade has kept outgoings as low as possible to ensure the financial growth of traders. Now, to keep up with the growing demand and expand with intention, we need your support.
We are seeking sponsorship and financial backing to help us grow professionally in step with our popularity.

Here’s What We Need Funding For:
This is a forecast for 12 months.
🖤 £1,000 Signage for our pop-ups at this years BARCO BASH (predicted 5,000 footfall) and our weekend pop-up on Madeira Drive outside Brighton Palace Pier
🖤 £420 SWAT Marketing
🖤 £400 Flyer printing
🖤 £60 Web hosting
🖤 £400 Equipment transport for pop-ups
🖤 £500 Headline acts
🖤 £1000 for merchandise – this will include tote bags and enamel pin badges
🖤 £1,000 staffing
🖤 £300 accountant fees
